Intro to Jewelry Making, March 3-31

A great beginners class, which will cover all the basics of jewelry fabrication: sawing, piercing, finishing, textures, cold connections and some soldering. The focus will be on small, wearable works, and guiding students to develop their personal aesthetic. Tools and some materials provided.

Beginning Bookmaking, March 3-31

This beginning bookmaking course will cover a wide variety of construction techniques, including folded books, sewn books, and using adhesives. We will discuss creating artists books along with making blank books for journaling or sketching. Tools and some materials provided.

Sip, Savor, Create: Enameled Jewelry

Make plans to join us for PCAC at Emerge’s adult workshop series that uses artistic fun as a great excuse to have a night out!  Grab your friends and join us for a wonderful art project while enjoying a glass of wine!  No experience is necessary, but a willingness to have fun is!

All supplies are included.  Please feel free to bring a beverage of your choice.*Must be 21 or over to register.

(Brown bagged items of beer & wine are welcome.  No liquor please).

During this workshop, you will explore the wonders of metalworking and jewelry making by enameling earrings and/or a pendant. Various techniques will be introduced as you sprinkle enamel onto copper and fire it in an enameling kiln. this workshop is a great introduction to our Metalsmithing Basics class.
